Notes and incidentals

These are just random notes and ideas that don't fit into a diary anywhere
Parvati statues Statues of my favourite goddess, there are lots to choose from so you have to be selective
Shiva shrines Shiva is the most honoured God in the South. Vishnu more in the north, although temples to both gods are found all over India. Apart from the temples, there are endless shrines by the road side, in shops and outside houses
Ganesha, the elephant headed god Ganesha (or Ganesh, or Ganapatti, it's all terrible confusing) probably the most popular of all the gods, and the first turned to in all visits to a temple and at commencement of any enterprise.
Mobile phones My mobile should have worked in India, but it hasn't, so I bought a cheap one here.
Street video This is an attempt to publish the video clips my camera produces. Let me know if they work
Temple statues Life like painted statues cover every inch
Temple cars Every temple of any size has a car, to pull the idols round town on.
