Smoothed data of daily
confirmed cases up to July 8 (weekly average)
This chart shows confirmed for each day (from Feb
23 to three days before the present) based on the average daily
number of cases for the seven day period of which that day is the
middle day. This smoothes out the erratic figures due to late
reporting of cases and other influences on the reporting of the
figures which are not due to the disease incubation period.
This probably gives the most
accurate view of the development of the epidemic we can visualise.
